Looking for somewhere reliable to board your dog near Prescot? Qualco Kennels and Cattery is about 18 miles away in Lathom, near Ormskirk. The drive takes around 30 minutes, heading out along the M57 and then the M58. Once you're off the motorway, it's just a few minutes along quiet country lanes to our door.
We regularly welcome dogs from Prescot, Whiston, Rainhill and the surrounding area. Although we're a rural kennels, we're well connected by motorway, which makes us surprisingly easy to reach from the Knowsley side of Merseyside.
When you leave your dog with us, they'll be looked after by people who genuinely care. We've been doing this for over 60 years, passed down through the family, and that experience shows in the way we handle every guest. Your dog gets their own clean, secure kennel with an individual run, and they'll be taken out for daily walks whatever the weather.
We specialise in small to medium-sized dogs, which means the environment stays manageable and relaxed. There's no overcrowding and no chaos. Just a well-run, homely kennels where your dog can settle into a comfortable routine until you're back to collect them.
Plenty of our guests travel from across Merseyside and South Lancashire. If you're in Whiston, Rainhill, Huyton, Cronton or anywhere nearby, you're just as welcome. The motorway access makes the journey quick and easy, and once you've done it once, you'll know the way by heart.
