Qualco Kennels has been a trusted name in dog boarding for over 60 years, and we're closer to Crosby than you might think. Based on Blythe Lane in Lathom, near Ormskirk, we're about 18 miles from Crosby and around 30 minutes by car. You can reach us via the A5147 heading north through Formby, or cut across through Maghull and Aughton if you prefer to avoid the coast road.
We regularly welcome dogs from Crosby, Waterloo, Blundellsands and the surrounding area. Plenty of our guests come from the Merseyside side of things, and many have been bringing their dogs to us for years. Once people find us, they tend to stick with us.
Every dog that stays with us gets their own individual kennel and private outdoor run. There's no sharing with unfamiliar dogs, so even nervous or unsociable dogs can settle in comfortably. We take all our guests out for walks around the grounds each day, and we're always keeping an eye on how everyone is getting on.
We're a family-run business, not a large commercial operation, and that means your dog gets proper personal attention. We get to know each dog that comes through our doors, and we're happy to follow any routines or instructions you leave with us. Favourite toys, specific feeding times, medication, whatever your dog needs, we'll make sure it happens.
Our facilities are especially well suited to small and medium-sized breeds, though we welcome all dogs. If you'd like to see where your dog would be staying, you're always welcome to visit before you make a booking.
Beyond Crosby, we also look after dogs from Waterloo, Blundellsands, Thornton, Litherland, Maghull, Lydiate and further afield. Our spot in rural Lathom gives dogs a proper countryside break, which is a nice change of pace for those used to city and suburban life.
