If you're looking for a safe, comfortable place to board your dog while you're away, Qualco Kennels is just a short drive from Formby. We're based on Blythe Lane in Lathom, near Ormskirk, about 15 miles from Formby and around 25 minutes heading inland via the A570. It's a straightforward route whether you're coming from Formby village, Freshfield or Hightown.
We regularly welcome dogs from Formby, Freshfield, Hightown and the surrounding coastal area. Many of our Formby families have been coming to us for years, and quite a few found us through word of mouth from neighbours and dog-walking friends along the beach paths and pine woods.
We've been looking after dogs here since 1965, and our family has always believed that dogs settle best when they feel secure and cared for. Every dog at Qualco gets their own individual kennel with a private run, so they have their own space to relax in. We take all our guests out for daily walks around the grounds, and we keep a close eye on everyone throughout the day.
Our kennels are clean, secure and well-maintained. We're especially well set up for small to medium-sized dogs, though all breeds are welcome. If your dog has any particular needs, whether that's a special diet, medication, or just a favourite blanket from home, we're happy to accommodate.
We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone, and we take that seriously. You're always welcome to come and have a look around before you book, so you can see exactly where your dog will be staying.
As well as Formby, we look after dogs from across the Sefton coast and West Lancashire. That includes Freshfield, Hightown, Ince Blundell, Ainsdale, Southport, Ormskirk, Burscough and many more. If you can get to us, we'd love to have your dog stay with us.
