If you live in Leyland and need a trusted place for your dog to stay, Qualco Kennels is well worth the journey. We're based on Blythe Lane in Lathom, roughly 15 miles from Leyland. The drive takes around 25 minutes, heading along the A5209 towards the M6 and then picking up the road through to Ormskirk. It's a pleasant route through some lovely Lancashire countryside once you get past the motorway.
We regularly welcome dogs from Leyland, Farington, Buckshaw Village and the surrounding area. A number of our Leyland families discovered us when they couldn't find availability closer to home, tried us out, and have been loyal regulars ever since.
Qualco is a proper family-run kennels, not a big commercial operation. We've been here since 1965 and we're now into our second generation of looking after people's dogs. That means decades of experience knowing what dogs need to feel happy and settled away from home.
Every dog gets their own clean, secure kennel with a private outdoor run. We make sure all our guests get daily walks and plenty of attention throughout the day. Our facilities are especially well suited to small and medium-sized breeds, and we pride ourselves on keeping everything spotless. When you collect your dog, we want them to look like they've had a proper holiday.
We're open seven days a week, so there's plenty of flexibility around when you can bring your dog or come to pick them up. Monday to Saturday, our hours are 9am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm. Sundays are 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm. If you'd prefer to have a look around before committing, we completely understand. Just phone us and we'll set up a convenient time for you to visit.
We're not just popular with Leyland dog owners. We also have plenty of regulars from Chorley, Euxton, Ormskirk, Burscough, Wigan and other towns across Lancashire. Being in a central spot near Ormskirk means we're easy to reach from a lot of different directions.
