These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Qualco Kennels and Cattery ("we", "us", "our") and the pet owner ("you", "your") when using our boarding services. By booking a stay for your pet, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Bookings
- All bookings are made by telephone on 01704 892 009.
- Bookings are confirmed once agreed over the phone. We may request key details about your pet at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion, particularly if we feel we cannot meet your pet's needs safely.
2. Vaccination Requirements
- Dogs: Must have up-to-date vaccinations including kennel cough (Bordetella), completed at least 21 days before arrival.
- Cats: Must have up-to-date vaccinations, completed at least 14 days before arrival.
- Proof of vaccination must be provided before or on arrival. We cannot accept pets without valid vaccination records.
3. Drop-off and Collection
- Drop-off and collection must take place during our opening hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm, Sundays 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm.
- If you are unable to collect your pet on the agreed date, please let us know as soon as possible. Additional charges may apply for extended stays.
- Pets not collected within 14 days of the agreed collection date, and where we have been unable to reach you, will be treated as abandoned and reported to the appropriate authorities.
4. Pet Information
- You must provide accurate and complete information about your pet, including any health conditions, behavioural issues, dietary requirements, and medication needs.
- If your pet requires medication, please provide clear written instructions and sufficient medication for the duration of their stay.
- Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the care we can provide and could result in early collection being required.
5. Health and Veterinary Care
- We monitor all pets daily and will contact you if we have any concerns about your pet's health or wellbeing.
- In the event of illness or injury, we will make every effort to contact you or your emergency contact. If we cannot reach you and veterinary attention is urgently required, we will arrange appropriate treatment.
- You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during your pet's stay.
- We are not liable for illness or conditions that develop during your pet's stay that are unrelated to our care, including pre-existing conditions.
6. Payment
- Payment is due on collection of your pet unless otherwise agreed in advance.
- We accept cash and bank transfer.
- Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and may vary based on the duration of stay and any additional requirements.
7. Cancellations
- If you need to cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 01704 892 009.
- We understand that plans change and will always try to be flexible. However, cancellations with very short notice during peak periods (school holidays, Christmas, bank holidays) may be subject to a charge.
8. Our Responsibilities
- We will care for your pet with reasonable skill and attention throughout their stay.
- We will follow your feeding, medication, and care instructions to the best of our ability.
- We will maintain clean, safe, and comfortable facilities.
- We will contact you promptly if any concerns arise about your pet's health or behaviour.
9. Your Responsibilities
- Provide up-to-date vaccination records before your pet's stay.
- Provide accurate information about your pet's health, behaviour, and needs.
- Provide sufficient medication with clear instructions if required.
- Provide a reliable contact number and emergency contact for the duration of the stay.
- Collect your pet on the agreed date and during opening hours.
10. Liability
- We take every reasonable precaution to keep your pet safe and well during their stay.
- We are not liable for illness, injury, or death caused by pre-existing conditions, hereditary conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the boarding fees paid for the stay in question.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
11. Behaviour and Safety
- If your pet displays aggressive behaviour that puts our staff, other animals, or your pet at risk, we may need to contact you for early collection.
- If a pet causes damage to our property or injures another animal, you may be held responsible for associated costs.
12. Personal Belongings
- You are welcome to bring your pet's favourite toys, blankets, or comforts. Please label them clearly.
- We will take reasonable care of personal items but cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
13. Data Protection
- We handle all personal information in accordance with UK data protection law.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website with the updated date shown at the top.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
