If you live in Wigan and need a good cattery for your cat, Qualco is well worth the short journey. We're based in Lathom, about 12 miles from Wigan town centre, and the drive takes roughly 20 minutes. Head west along the M58 and you'll find us tucked away on Blythe Lane, surrounded by countryside. It's a peaceful spot, which is exactly what cats need.
We regularly welcome cats from Wigan, Standish, Shevington and the surrounding area. Cat owners from across the Wigan borough have been choosing Qualco for years, and many come back time after time because they know their cats are happy here.
Our cattery sits in its own dedicated area, completely separate from the kennels. This means no dogs barking nearby and no unnecessary stress for your cat. Each cat has their own individual, spacious accommodation where they can relax at their own pace. The whole cattery is kept spotlessly clean and is designed to provide a calm, quiet environment.
Whether your cat is an outgoing social type or the sort who prefers their own company, we'll make sure they're looked after properly. We accommodate all breeds and ages, and if your cat needs medication or has a particular diet, that's no problem at all. We've been doing this since 1965, so there's not much we haven't seen.
We're here every day of the week. Monday to Saturday you can bring your cat in or collect them between 9am and 12:30pm, or between 3pm and 5pm. Sundays we open from 10am. If you'd prefer to see the cattery first, just ring us and we'll find a convenient time for you to pop over.
While we see plenty of cats from Wigan, owners also bring their cats from Skelmersdale, St Helens, Chorley, Ormskirk and across Lancashire. Our central location off the M58 makes us easy to get to from most directions, and our countryside setting gives every cat a calm and restful stay.
