If you live in Prescot and you're looking for a cattery you can trust, we'd love you to consider Qualco. We're a family-run cattery in Lathom, near Ormskirk, and we've been looking after cats for over 60 years. The journey from Prescot takes about 30 minutes. You head along the M57, pick up the M58, and then it's a short drive through the countryside to Blythe Lane. It's about 18 miles in total.
We regularly welcome cats from Prescot, Whiston, Rainhill and the wider Knowsley area. Cat owners from Merseyside often tell us they appreciate the rural, peaceful setting after the busier options closer to home.
Our cattery sits in a separate area of the site, well away from the kennels. That means no barking, no sudden noise, and no stress for your cat. Each guest has their own individual accommodation with plenty of space to stretch out, and the whole cattery is kept spotlessly clean.
We know that cats are creatures of habit, and a change of environment can be unsettling for them. That's why we take the time to understand each cat's personality and routine. If they like a particular brand of food, need medication at certain times, or simply prefer to be left in peace, we make sure that happens. Over 60 years of experience means very little catches us off guard.
We look after cats from all across Merseyside and beyond. Whether you're in Whiston, Rainhill, Huyton, Cronton or Tarbock, the motorway links make the drive to us straightforward. A number of our regular cat owners travel from the Prescot area, and most say the peaceful setting is well worth the short trip.
