Finding a good cattery you can trust isn't always easy, especially if you want somewhere that genuinely cares about your cat rather than just providing a space. At Qualco Cattery, that's exactly what we offer. We're situated on Blythe Lane in Lathom, about 15 miles from Leyland. The journey takes roughly 25 minutes along the A5209, dropping down past the M6 junction and through the Lancashire countryside towards Ormskirk.
We regularly welcome cats from Leyland, Farington, Buckshaw Village and the surrounding area. Several of our Leyland customers have told us they tried a few catteries before finding us, and wished they'd come here first. That kind of feedback means a lot to us.
Our cattery is completely separate from the dog kennels, which makes a big difference. There's no barking, no sudden noise, and nothing to startle a nervous cat. Each cat gets their own spacious, individual accommodation in a warm, clean environment. We keep things calm and unhurried because that's what cats respond to best.
With over 60 years of experience, we've learned that every cat has their own personality and their own way of coping with being somewhere new. Some want fuss and attention straight away, while others prefer to be left in peace for a while until they feel at home. We pay attention to what each cat needs and adjust accordingly. All breeds and temperaments are welcome here.
Our doors are open every day. Monday to Saturday, you can drop off or collect between 9am and 12:30pm, or in the afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. On Sundays, we open from 10am to 12:30pm and again from 3pm to 5pm. We always recommend having a look at the cattery before you book, so you can see for yourself where your cat will be staying. Just phone ahead and we'll find a good time for you.
Alongside Leyland, we regularly look after cats from Chorley, Euxton, Ormskirk, Burscough, Wigan and plenty of other towns across Lancashire and into Merseyside. Our location near Ormskirk puts us within easy reach of a wide area, so no matter which direction you're coming from, the drive is never too far.
