Finding the right cattery can feel like a big decision, especially if your cat is the nervous type. At Qualco, we've been boarding cats in a quiet, purpose-built cattery since 1965, and we understand that cats need calm above everything else. We're located on Blythe Lane in Lathom, near Ormskirk, about 15 miles from Formby and roughly 25 minutes along the A570.
We regularly welcome cats from Formby, Freshfield and Hightown. Many cat owners along the coast have chosen us because our cattery is set in a peaceful rural spot, well away from busy roads and noise. It makes a real difference for cats who are sensitive to change.
Our cattery is separate from the kennels, so your cat won't be disturbed by any dogs during their stay. Each cat has their own individual accommodation with plenty of space to stretch out, climb and watch the world go by. We keep things clean, warm and calm throughout.
All cats are welcome, whether you have a confident explorer or a timid homebody. We take the time to get to know each cat's personality and adjust how we interact with them. Some want a fuss, others prefer to be left in peace, and that's absolutely fine.
If your cat needs medication, has a particular diet, or has any other requirements, just let us know. We're used to managing all sorts of needs and we'll make sure your cat's routine is kept as close to normal as possible.
Alongside Formby, we look after cats from Freshfield, Hightown, Ince Blundell, Ainsdale and right along the coast to Southport. Our rural location in Lathom provides a calm retreat that's still easy to reach from any of these areas.
