If you live in Crosby and need somewhere reliable to board your cat, Qualco Cattery is well worth the short journey. We're based in the quiet countryside at Lathom, near Ormskirk, about 18 miles from Crosby and around 30 minutes by car. You can head north via the A5147 through Formby, or take the inland route through Maghull and Aughton, whichever suits you best.
We regularly welcome cats from Crosby, Waterloo and Blundellsands. Cat owners from the Merseyside area often tell us they chose Qualco because they wanted somewhere genuinely peaceful, away from the bustle of town, where their cat could properly relax.
Our cattery is completely separate from the dog kennels. That's something we've always felt strongly about. Cats and dogs have very different temperaments, and keeping them apart means your cat won't hear barking or feel unsettled by the presence of dogs nearby. It's a simple thing, but it makes a real difference to how quickly cats settle in.
Each cat gets their own spacious, individual unit with room to move around comfortably. We keep the cattery clean and warm, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and unhurried. Whether your cat is the confident type who wants to know what's going on, or the sort who'd rather curl up in a cosy spot and be left alone, we'll respect their personality.
We've been looking after cats here for over 60 years, so there's very little we haven't seen. Special diets, daily medication, elderly cats who need a bit of extra care, we handle it all as part of the service.
As well as Crosby, our cattery is a popular choice for cat owners from Waterloo, Blundellsands, Thornton, Litherland, Maghull and Lydiate. The drive out to Lathom is easy, and our rural setting gives your cat a genuine change of scenery in peaceful surroundings.
Give us a ring on 01704 892 009 and we'll be happy to talk through everything. We're open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm, and Sundays from 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm.
If you'd like to see the cattery first, just let us know and we'll arrange a time for you to visit. We always think it's a good idea for cat owners to see where their cat will be staying before they commit.
